Tiada Lagikah Cinta Di Palestina?

Dulu, suatu ketika
Tanah itu pernah menjadi tempat diri berbakti
Tidak tandus, tidak juga gersang
Subur mewangi
Bersama dedaunan dan bebunga mekar
Limpahan rahmat Ilahi pada buahan zaitun
Subhanallah, serba indah dan damai

Tapi kini
Semuanya bagaikan mimpi di siang hari
Bumi yang dulunya penuh barakah
Kini hanya dengan sekelip mata
Hancur musnah
Lantaran kerakusan manusia berhati mati
Tiada tergambar perikemanusiaan
Insan kecil dan lemah
Bagaikan tiada harga
Diperlakukan dengan penuh kezaliman
Di manakah hilangnya kuntuman cinta mereka?
Kerasnya hati mereka…nurani bersalut noda

Tidur lena bukan lagi menjadi pilihan
Bermain ria di padang hanya tinggal kenangan
Masakan tidak!
Saban hari saban waktu
Gegendang telinga sakit dan perit
Menahan bunyi dentuman senjata buatan manusia
Kelopak mata tiada lekang mengalirkan deraian air jernih
Tangis, sendu, hiba dan pilu
Jelas terpancar di rona wajah
Dek perbuatan mereka yang penuh superior
Yang cemburu tidak tentu hala
Kerna melihatkan kesenangan insan lain
Pada mereka
Kegembiraan sebenar adalah kesengsaraan ummat Islam
Keagungan mereka
Adalah kehancuran sebuah kehidupan
Zionis la’natullah
Betapa hinanya peribadi
Jijik dan jelek
Bilakah sampainya hari penyesalan?
Persoalan yang masih terbuku
Mungkin ianya mustahil sama sekali

Wahai Zionis
Apakah maknanya semua ini?
Tidak cukupkah lagi melihat keperitan mereka?
Selama 58 tahun hidup dalam ancaman
Hari ini yang berlalu
Belum tentu kesampaian hari esoknya
Pun begitu,
Mereka terus mereguk rahmat
Merengkuh harapan
Dari Sang Pencipta yang Maha Kuasa
Membina keyakinan
Bahawa kebenaran pastikan menang
Dan kebathilan kan lenyap jua
Biarlah masa menentukan
Namun, itulah realiti di bumi sana
MashaAllah, tegarnya mereka
Kentalnya semangat perjuangan mereka
Wira-wira kecil Palestina
Para syabab yang merelakan diri dinobatkan syuhada’
Kagumku pada mereka
Tak tergambar ketabahan diri
Menempuh liku-liku hidup
Demi meneruskan sisa-sisa perjuangan silam

Sering hati ini terdetik
Bilakah datangnya saat indah itu?
Bilamana bumi itu kembali hidup
Anak-anak kecil berlari bebas
Raut wajah mengukir senyum kepuasan
Gelak dan hilai tawa menghiasi panorama
Hati-hati kembali subur dengan haruman cinta
cinta yang disandarkan pada Ilahi
yang lahir atas keimanan yang utuh
bukan rapuh bak ranting kecil
ku masih keliru dan sangsi
kerna ianya menagih seribu pengorbanan
namun kupujuk jua diri ini
cuba merungkai persoalan di hati
tiada lagikah cinta di Palestina?

The Prophesy Of The Utter Destruction Of The Yahood Will Only Occur At The Hands Of The True Worshippers Of Allaah

**************************************************************************************

The following is a summarised version of the heart warming, hope instilling prophetic reminder, by the esteemed Shaykh Saleem Al-Hilaalee may Allaah preserve him and grant him and his teachers a high level of Paradise:

Allaah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala) says:

“And We decreed for the Children of Israel in the Scripture, that indeed you would do mischief on the earth twice and you will become tyrants and extremely arrogant!

So, when the promise came for the first of the two, We sent against you slaves of Ours given to terrible warfare. They entered the very innermost parts of your homes. And it was a promise (completely) fulfilled.

Then We gave you once again, a return of victory over them. And We helped you with wealth and children and made you more numerous in man power.

(And We said): "If you do good, you do good for your ownselves, and if you do evil (you do it) against yourselves." Then, when the second promise came to pass, (We permitted your enemies) to make your faces sorrowful and to enter the mosque (of Jerusalem) as they had entered it before, and to destroy with utter destruction all that fell in their hands.

The one who ponders over the introductory verses of Soorah al-Israa’ (the earliest and is one of the most beautiful Surahs, described as The Prophet's treasure) shall take note of wonderous observations. The verses confirm that the future battle facing al-Islaam shall be with the Jews and that victory shall be for the Muslims.

Some of the scholars of tafseer have stated that these verses are discussing ancient events and past occurrences and extinct populations. We find that these verses are not commented on by any authentically reported hadeeth from the Prophet (Sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) and there are no authentically reported statements from as-salaf that can be relied upon regarding these verses.

The verses establish that Bani Israel shall be the cause of two separate instances of corruption. If the two instances of corruption were to be understood as past events that have come to an end, then we look back at history and notice that they have produced numerous instances of corruption, not just two. What is prophesised here is that they shall carry out two MAJOR instances of corruption that are far greater in deviance to all the previous acts of corruption that they have performed beforehand. As such, Allaah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala) has let loose upon them those who punish them due to their corruption. They have been vilified by numerous peoples throughout the annals of time; from Babylon, Persia, to the Byzantines. This is also supported by 'Abdullah Yusuf 'Ali in his english translation of The Holy Qur'an that "the two occasions" might be referred to as "twice" (a figure of speech for 'more than once', 'often'). Or it maybe that the two occasions refer to:

  1. the destruction of the Temple by Babylonian Nebuchadnezzar in 586 B.C., when the Jews were carried off into captivity.
  2. the destruction of Jerusalem by Titus in A.C. 70. after which the Temple was never rebuilt.

There is no historical evidence to indicate that Bani Israel was granted a return with victory over those who vilified them. Yet we see that the verse states that Bani Israel was given a return over them (enemies) and given victory after what they shall face following their first corruption.

The Shaykh then explained that some of the words used in the verses including the words “…you would do mischief..” indicated that the two major instances of corruption will take place AFTER the revelation of the verses to Muhammad (Sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam).

It was also said in The Tawrah that the Jews would spread mischief twice.

Allah says:

(And We made known this decree to him, that the root of those (sinners) was to be cut off in the early morning.)(15:66), meaning, We already told him about that and informed him of it.

The Shaykh then continued:

The rulers and people who cursed and defamed Bani Israel in the past were disbelieving polytheists. How can it be believed that Allaah (Subhanahu Ta’ala) would describe them, “…Slaves of Ours...”? This description is only used to depict a worshipping, believing and sincere people.

The first major occurrence of corruption was when they, as a result of their treachery and hatred, attempted to assassinate the Prophet (Sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) and broke their covenant to him while trying to incite the surrounding tribes into battle against him. Their audacity reached the level where they finally declared that to worship an idol is better than accepting the call to Tawheed of Muhammad (Sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam). The Messenger (Sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) prepared an army and faced those who betrayed him and was victorious over them. They left the Arab Peninsula never to return. The remaining Jewish tribes at Khayber were eventually expelled by the illustrious, rightly guided Caliph ‘Umar bin Al-Khattab (Radiya ‘Llahu 'anhu). He purged the lands of Islaam from their adulteration and impurity.

According to Ibnu Kathir, (So, when the promise came for the first of the two) meaning the first of the two episodes of mischief.

(We sent against you servants of Ours given to terrible warfare.) means, `We unleashed soldiers against you from among Our creatures who were given to terrible warfare,' i.e., they had great strength and weapons and power. They entered the very innermost parts of your homes, meaning they took possession of your land and invaded the very innermost parts of your homes, going between and through your houses, coming and going freely with no fear of anyone. This was the promise (completely) fulfilled. The earlier and later commentators differed over the identity of these invaders. Many Isra'iliyyat (reports from Jewish sources) were narrated about this, but I did not want to make this book too long by mentioning them, because some of them are fabricated, concocted by their heretics, and others may be true, but we have no need of them, praise be to Allah. What Allah has told us in His Book (the Qur'an) is sufficient and we have no need of what is in the other books that came before. Neither Allah nor His Messenger required us to refer to them. Allah told His Messenger that when (the Jews) committed transgression and aggression, Allah gave their enemies power over them to destroy their country and enter the innermost parts of their homes. Their humiliation and subjugation was a befitting punishment, and your Lord is never unfair or unjust to His servants. They had rebelled and killed many of the Prophets and scholars. Ibn Jarir recorded that Yahya bin Sa`id said: "I heard Sa`id bin Al-Musayyib saying: `Nebuchadnezzar conquered Ash-Sham (Greater Syria, including Palestine), destroying Jerusalem and killing them, then he came to Damascus and found blood boiling in a censer. He asked them: What is this blood. They said: We found our forefathers doing this. Because of that blood, he killed seventy thousand of the believers and others, then the blood stopped boiling. This report is Sahih from Sa`id bin Al-Musayyib, and this event is well-known, as he (Nebuchadnezzar) killed their nobles and scholars, and did not leave alive anyone who knew the Tawrah by heart. He took many prisoners from the sons of the Prophets and others, and did many other things that would take too long to mention here. If we had found anything that was correct or close enough, we could have written it and reported it here. And Allah knows best. Then Allah says:

((And We said): "If you do good, you do good for your own selves, and if you do evil (you do it) against yourselves.'') As Allah says elsewhere:

(Whosoever does a righteous good deed, it is for (the benefit of) himself; and whosoever does evil, it is against himself.) ﴿45:15

The Second Occurrence Of Corruption

Ibnu Kathir commenting on another second occurrence of corruption as:

Then Allah says:

(Then, when the second promise came to pass,) meaning, the second episode of mischief, when your enemies came again,

((We permitted your enemies) to disgrace your faces) meaning, to humiliate you and subdue you,

(and to enter the Masjid) meaning, Bayt Al-Maqdis (Jerusalem).

(as they had entered it before,) when they entered the very innermost parts of your homes.

(and to destroy) wrecking and inflicting ruin upon it.

(all that fell in their hands.) everything they could get their hands on.

(with utter destruction. It may be that your Lord may show mercy unto you) meaning that He may rid you of them.

(but if you return (to sins), We shall return (to Our punishment).) meaning, if you return to causing mischief,

(We shall return) means, We `will once again punish you in this world, along with the punishment and torment We save for you in the Hereafter.'

(And We have made Hell a prison ﴿Hasir﴾ for the disbelievers.) meaning, a place of permanent detention, a prison which cannot be avoided or escaped. Ibn `Abbas said, "Hasir here means a jail.'' Mujahid said, "They will be detained in it.'' Others said like- wise. Al-Hasan said, "Hasir means a bed of Fire.'' Qatadah said: "The Children of Israel returned to aggression, so Allah sent this group against them, Muhammad and his companions, who made them pay the Jizyah, with willing submission, and feeling themselves subdued.''

(9. Verily, this Qur'an guides to that which is most just and right and gives good news to those who believe, those who do righteous deeds, that they will have a great reward (Paradise).) (10. And that those who do not believe in the Hereafter, for them We have prepared a painful torment (Hell).)

The era of Prophethood and the rightly guided Caliphate that followed it came to an end. The Muslim Ummah began to stray farther and farther away from Al-Qur’aan and fell into dissension and partisanship. This condition generated weakness and stripped the Ummah of its strength.

While the Muslim Ummah was in a state of heedlessness and irreligiousness the tatter remnants of Bani Israel organised themselves and began to flourish and regain strength. Eventually they brought humiliation, destitution, and restrictions and poured punishment upon the Muslims. The Zionist expansion grew with the aid of Communist manpower (European Jews) and Capitalist monetary reserves. The Jews suddenly became a formidable force and attained grandeur never before achieved by their predecessors.

The Jewish nation took root in Palestine [after Britain decided to give it to them as a nation] in the midst of numerous Muslims, plentiful in number but as insignificant as the froth on the surface of the ocean. A person may ponder over the fact that the Muslim nation numbers in excess of one billion persons, greatly outnumbering the Jewish nation comprised of a mere few million. We understand that the number of Jews is greater than the number of sincere, pious, firmly grounded believers. Surely, the struggle is between al-Firqah an-Najiyyah - those people adhering to the Truth, and the adherents of Falsehood regardless of their locality, ethnicity and colour or language.

Furthermore, their (Bani Israel) description being numerous is speaking of the platoon of troops who will set out in battle against the believers. It is well known that the Jews have eclipsed the Muslims in terms of strength, training, weaponry and military readiness. All of this authenticates the words of Allaah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala) , “…and made you more numerous in man power.”

We establish that the second era of corruption has begun and remains ongoing. Is there greater deviance than setting the Masaajid wherein Allaah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala) is worshipped ablaze? Is there greater deviance than tearing pages from the Qur’aan and stepping on it? Is there greater deviance than to break the bones of, and murder, women, elderly men and children?
Is there greater deviance than to openly declare war against Islaam and those who call to it? Surely, these are all indicators of the greatest types of corruption.

All the different initiatives that have been put forth to solve the Palestinian Muslim Arab-Jewish conflict have all failed miserably since this matter is with Allaah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala) and not by the directives of the UN or other councils.

Before us today we find an unending stream of evidence proving that the Palestinian issue is seen as a worthless issue that is being traded around and passed around from one side to the other without seeking to bring about a just solution that is appeasing to all. The Zionists strategy will not stop extending its malicious hand, gesturing peace, while simultaneously plotting extermination of those it is courting. This has always been the attitude of the Jews, past and present. Therefore Muslims, especially those of Palestine, should wake up from their deep extended slumber and regain the adherence to the Truth that they once possessed.

The Jews shall NEVER have peace of mind or feel secure, or arrive at the level of safety that they seek. This is a dream that shall remain unfulfilled because they do not seek to extend the same to others. All attempts at seeking to facilitate this unattainable peace shall end in failure. They shall continuously be under siege as has been ordained by Allaah as He has said:

“And (remember) when your Lord declared that He would certainly keep on sending against them (i.e. the Jews), till the Day of Resurrection, those who would afflict them with a humiliating torment.” [7:167]

We recognise that this return to grandeur [of the Jews] shall be short lived, by the leave of Allaah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala). When Allaah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala) speaks about the destruction of Bani Israel after the second occurrence of corruption He uses the letter “faa” to imply that soon afterwards after their return to grandeur, their destruction shall come about. The faa indicates that it is a short, defined period of time wherein they shall gather in the Holy land and assemble uniformly so as to meet their demise together at the hands of the soldiers of Allaah from the ‘Ibaad ur-Rahmaan.

These pious slaves of Allaah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala) shall be those who have realised in themselves and societies servitude to Allaah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala) alone. On that day the Believers shall rejoice with joy in the victory of Allaah.

The future is for Islaam. A future that is bright and full of promise.

Wallahu ta'ala a'laam...may Allah stable our heart in His Deen...Ameen...

"Whosoever introduces in Islam an innovation, & holds it to be something good, has indeed alleged that Muhammad (PBUH) has betrayed his message! Read the saying of Allah:'This day I have perfected your Religion for u, completed My favor upon u & I have chosen for u Islam as yr Religion'.So that, which was not part of the Deen at that time cannot be part of the Deen today! & the last part of this Ummah cannot be rectified, except by that which rectified its 1st part." - Imam Malik ibn Anas (al-i'tisham)

Zionist Quotes!!!

Assalamualaikum wbt to my lovely brothers and sisters in Faith..may this entry reach you in the best state of Eemaan and health...Ameen

Subhanallah, what's happening to our brothers and sisters in the Middle East? It's too devastating, infuriating, etc....I believe you guys can describe it better than I do..

Below are some of the Zionist Quotes towards Muslims...particularly in Palestine..please read the entire qoutes...they are really too much!!...If we were to consider The International Jews, a book written by Henry Ford (he's a Jew!!!), there are a lot of things being revealed out about their propaganda and hidden agendas...so please, my dear brothers and sisters...let's be a bit more sensitive on this issue...let's play our own role...inshaAllah, khayr...

David Ben Gurion (Prime Minister of Israel1949 - 1954,1955 - 1963)
************************************************************************

"We must expel Arabs and take their places." -- David Ben Gurion, 1937, Ben Gurion and the Palestine Arabs, Oxford University Press, 1985.

"We must use terror, assassination, intimidation, land confiscation, and the cutting of all social services to rid the Galilee of its Arab population."
-- David Ben-Gurion, May 1948, to the General Staff. From Ben-Gurion, A Biography, by Michael Ben-Zohar, Delacorte, New York 1978.

"There has been Anti-Semitism, the Nazis, Hitler, Auschwitz, but was that their fault? They see but one thing: we have come and we have stolen their country. Why would they accept that?"-- Quoted by Nahum Goldmann in Le Paraddoxe Juif (The Jewish Paradox), pp. 121-122.

"Jewish villages were built in the place of Arab villages. You do not even know the names of these Arab villages, and I do not blame you because geography books no longer exist. Not only do the books not exist, the Arab villages are not there either. Nahlal arose in the place of Mahlul; Kibbutz Gvat in the place of Jibta; Kibbutz Sarid in the place of Huneifis; and Kefar Yehushua in the place of Tal al-Shuman. There is not a single place built in this country that did not have a former Arab population."
-- David Ben Gurion, quoted in The Jewish Paradox, by Nahum Goldmann, Weidenfeld and Nicolson, 1978, p. 99.

"Let us not ignore the truth among ourselves ... politically we are the aggressors and they defend themselves... The country is theirs, because they inhabit it, whereas we want to come here and settle down, and in their view we want to take away from them their country."-- David Ben Gurion, quoted on pp 91-2 of Chomsky's Fateful Triangle, which appears in Simha Flapan's "Zionism and the Palestinians pp 141-2 citing a 1938 speech.

"If I knew that it was possible to save all the children of Germany by transporting them to England, and only half by transferring them to the Land of Israel, I would choose the latter, for before us lies not only the numbers of these children but the historical reckoning of the people of Israel."-- David Ben-Gurion (Quoted on pp 855-56 in Shabtai Teveth's Ben-Gurion in a slightly different translation).

Golda Meir (Prime Minister of Israel1969 - 1974)
****************************************************

"There is no such thing as a Palestinian people... It is not as if we came and threw them out and took their country. They didn't exist."-- Golda Meir, statement to The Sunday Times, 15 June, 1969.

"How can we return the occupied territories? There is nobody to return them to."-- Golda Meir, March 8, 1969.

"Any one who speaks in favor of bringing the Arab refugees back must also say how he expects to take the responsibility for it, if he is interested in the state of Israel. It is better that things are stated clearly and plainly: We shall not let this happen." -- Golda Meir, 1961, in a speech to the Knesset, reported in Ner, October 1961

"This country exists as the fulfillment of a promise made by God Himself. It would be ridiculous to ask it to account for its legitimacy."-- Golda Meir, Le Monde, 15 October 1971

Yitzhak Rabin (Prime Minister of Israel1974 - 1977, 1992 - 1995)
*********************************************************************

"We walked outside, Ben-Gurion accompanying us. Allon repeated his question, What is to be done with the Palestinian population?' Ben-Gurion waved his hand in a gesture which said 'Drive them out!"-- Yitzhak Rabin, leaked censored version of Rabin memoirs, published in the New York Times, 23 October 1979.

"[Israel will] create in the course of the next 10 or 20 years conditions which would attract natural and voluntary migration of the refugees from the Gaza Strip and the west Bank to Jordan. To achieve this we have to come to agreement with King Hussein and not with Yasser Arafat."-- Yitzhak Rabin (a "Prince of Peace" by Clinton's standards), explaining his method of ethnically cleansing the occupied land without stirring a world outcry. (Quoted in David Shipler in the New York Times, 04/04/1983 citing Meir Cohen's remarks to the Knesset's foreign affairs and defense committee on March 16.)

Menachem Begin (Prime Minister of Israel1977 - 1983)
************************************************************

"[The Palestinians] are beasts walking on two legs."
-- Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin, speech to the Knesset, quoted in Amnon Kapeliouk, "Begin and the 'Beasts,"' New Statesman, June 25, 1982.

"The Partition of Palestine is illegal. It will never be recognized .... Jerusalem was and will for ever be our capital. Eretz Israel will be restored to the people of Israel. All of it. And for Ever."-- Menachem Begin, the day after the U.N. vote to partition Palestine.

Yizhak Shamir (Prime Minister of Israel1983 - 1984, 1986 - 1992)
*********************************************************************

"I would have joined a terrorist organization."-- Ehud Barak's response to Gideon Levy, a columnist for the Ha'aretz newspaper, when Barak was asked what he would have done if he had been born a Palestinian.

Ariel Sharon (Prime Minister of Israel2001 - present)

"It is the duty of Israeli leaders to explain to public opinion, clearly and courageously, a certain number of facts that are forgotten with time. The first of these is that there is no Zionism, colonialization, or Jewish State without the eviction of the Arabs and the expropriation of their lands."
-- Ariel Sharon, Israeli Foreign Minister, addressing a meeting of militants from the extreme right-wing Tsomet Party, Agence France Presse, November 15, 1998.

"Everybody has to move, run and grab as many (Palestinian) hilltops as they can to enlarge the (Jewish) settlements because everything we take now will stay ours...Everything we don't grab will go to them."-- Ariel Sharon, Israeli Foreign Minister, addressing a meeting of the Tsomet Party, Agence France Presse, Nov. 15, 1998.

"Israel may have the right to put others on trial, but certainly no one has the right to put the Jewish people and the State of Israel on trial."
-- Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, 25 March, 2001 quoted in BBC News Online

Kepulangannya ke tanah air…

Bismillahirrahmaanirraheem…

Assalamualaikum wbt along tujukan khusus buat makcik along, Che Ta yang suatu masa dulu pernah bersama-sama dengan along di bumi kering Australia…hampir 9 bulan along menghadapi kehidupan sebagai pelajar bersama dengan ahli keluarga terdekat..Alhamdulillah, atas segala hal.

Terkenang kembali saat pertama kali che ta tiba di bumi kangaroo… setelah menempuh pelbagai dugaan dan halangan..sehinggakan tertunda selama setahun untuk menjejakkan kaki ke Aussie..mashaAllah akhirnya, rahmat Allah mengatasi segala..sesungguhnya along yakin yang Allah sangat mengetahui apa yang terbaik buat diri che ta..mungkin tertangguh selama setahun itu adalah baik buat che ta kerana masa tu mungkin che ta belum cukup bersedia untuk meninggalkan family demi mengejar impian hidup..Wallahu a’laam..hakikatnya along memang tiada pengetahuan tentang rencana Allah, baik pada diri che ta dan diri along sendiri…but we just have to believe it that way…as outlined in the sacred book, Al-Quranul Karim.

“…Boleh jadi kamu membenci sesuatu, padahal ia amat baik bagimu, dan boleh jadi [pula] kamu menyukai sesuatu, padahal ia amat buruk bagimu; Allah mengetahui, sedang kamu tidak mengetahui.” [QS2:216]

Secara peribadi along katakan, jauh di sudut hati along..along sangat bersyukur sebab Allah hadirkan che ta untuk ‘menemani’ along walaupun sebenarnya che ta datang atas urusan buat fellowship di Alfred Hospital…frankly speaking, I adore you dan along kadang-kadang terdetik yang Allah berikan banyak persamaan di antara kita..as if we are having a strong chemistry…memanglah kita dari keluarga yang sama..salasilah yang sama.. but then, Allahu a’laam..we do share some similarities in terms of attitudes, thoughts, etc…I guess you are aware of this as well.

Sekalung ucapan penghargaan dan jazakillahu khayran katsiran atas segala sokongan, dorongan dan kata-kata semangat yang che ta berikan kepada anak saudara che ta ini..along memang akui, once in a while..i will lose my confidence…having sort of a low self-esteem..feeling like there’s no tomorrow for me..no room for improvement..tapi alhamdulillah, Allah adakan seseorang yang dekat dengan along untuk kembalikan kekuatan…cuma, along memang percaya yang sumber kekuatan hakiki adalah Allah SWT..tiada selainNya.

Imbas kembali, masa along kena buat satu syndicate ni..untuk Biochemistry…masa tu along ke Burnell..seriously, along memang tak tahu nak buat syndicate tu..dan along discuss dengan che ta dalam keadaan masa tu kita berdua memang mengantuk tahap maksimum…huhuhu~~

Sekadar sorotan along memandangkan ia adalah satu pengalaman bermakna buat along:

Scenario:

Elisa, a 20 year old student feels unwell and weak; she complains of stomach ache and nausea. She is a high achiever and exercises regularly to keep fit. Her parents are a bit concerned that she looks underweight. Elisa has other concerns and decides to take matters into her own hands!

Basically, along memang tension sikit lepas dapat case study ni ..and sadly to say, I was so blurred the first time I got this task..pity me!

Along: Che ta, ni ada a few info pasal patient ni..nama dia Elisa…along kena kaji pasal penyakit dia..dia ni kira aktif jugak la..tapi lately dia discover something not right..so, dia ada buat beberapa medical examinations..mcm urine test, pregnancy test..etc…along tak sure nak explain macam mana..in terms of the biochemical principles behind the home diagnostic tests Elisa got..(gaya orang tension dan risau)

Che ta: Cuba tengok results untuk semua tests yang patient tu buat..che ta rasa patient ni mungkin dapat DKA (diabetic ketoacidosis)..tengoklah blood test dia..ALP and GGT levels tinggi sangat ni..along tau kan setiap test tu measure atau indicate something?

Along: Tahu la kot sikit-sikit..sebab ada diberi background info pasal setiap test tu..ALP indicates apa..GGT and semua-semualah yang seangkatan dengannya..basically pasal liver function test…I guess so!

Che ta: Hm..if nak diikutkan pada results dia ni…che ta rasa Elisa’s possibility is “undiagnosed DKA precipitated by acute hepatitis.”

Along: Oic..perhaps..as far as I know..kalau ada –tis kat belakang tu..means ada infection atau inflammation la kan che ta? If hepatitis..hepa normally refers to liver la kan?

Probably, no more going to Syaikh Abu Ayman’s Tafseer Class…I have no companion now…huhu, what a sad thing…I’ll cherish the moments we had had together in my mind…once again, a bunch of thanks to my lovely aunt..back in Melbourne..inshaAllah, till we meet again…somewhere in the future…if Allah permits…=) along sayang che ta kerana Allah…

Akhiran, along mohon rimbunan kemaafan atas segala ketidakupayaan, ketidaksempurnaan, kepincangan kata-kata atau apa-apa yang mungkin meninggalkan kesan calar di hati che ta. Along masih lagi cuba memperbaiki diri dan inshaAllah berazam untuk menyeru yang lain..doakan along tabah dan kuat hati di sini…life is not always like a bed of roses..i really need to have the strength to face tomorrow..may Allah be with us..Ameen! Wallahu a’laam.

Salam sayang dari kejauhan,
Along
(anak saudara yang banyak kerenah)

10 minutes by Ahmed Imamovic-Best Short film in Europe

10 minutes by Ahmed Imamovic. 1994. Sarajevo, Bosnia and Rome, Italy. How many different things can happen for only 10 Minutes. The film won the award for the best European short film in 2002.

This short film, as its title indicates lasts only 10 minutes, but it tells a much longer story which unravels only in our imagination upon seeing the end of the film. While 10 minutes in someone's life mean nothing, they can be fatal in another: a boy and his loving family, tragedy in a war-torn city, death and destruction. All in just ten minutes. The film follows two simultaneous story lines: one set in Rome, and one in Sarajevo, in 1994, the worst time of the war in Bosnia. Although the Rome part was not filmed on the original location, that does not take away anything from the quality of the film, it was just a symbolic element anyway. Cast is great, story is very compact and well written, direction dynamic and precise. There is nothing out of place in the film: well structured, stripped of false pathos, realistic, it is very straight forward. In other words, this is a jewel of a film, and it was not by chance that it won the award for the best European short film in 2002. 10 minutes for me is definitely one of the most moving and powerful films about wartime Sarajevo. Behind the scene: I read that the director Ahmed Imamovic, in search of Japanese for the role of the tourist, had to go to the Japanese Embassy in Sarajevo and ask one of the staff to perform in the film. Luckily for the director, the Embassy allowed one of their employees to star in the film.

The story tells how SERBS have killed civils, old people and children!

Take home messages:

What a contradictory!!!

Ana al-faqeerah ilallah.. Moga Allah memberi ketabahan dan keteguhan hati seteguhnya karang di dasar lautan..berkorban itu bermakna diri kita turut sama berkorban dan terkorban..Allahu ta’ala a’laam...

Selamat Hari Lahir, Aina…

Assalamualaikum wbt..specially dedicated to my dear friend, Ukhti Aina Farhana…may Allah shower you with His bless and countless Bounty, Ameen!

Today, 15th June is your 21st Birthday..but I’m so sorry for being too late to wish you..but anyhow, I suppose that does not really matter as long as I remember it…Happy Birthday Aina!!!

Just a few words from me;

“I rarely take the time to say it,
But I’m glad you’re my friend.

We’ve shared some special moments together,
Memories we’ll never forget;

We’ve laughed, cried, and believed.
Through extraordinary times;

You’ve been there to lean on
When I needed a shoulder;
You’ve extended your heart and accepted me as I am;
You’ve listened to my dreams and schemes and my problems.

Again, I’m so grateful
For being granted a close friend like you;
The one who is always by my side,
In times of pains and sorrows;
When it feels like there’s no tomorrow
You’ll stay, my dearest friend.

Truly, friends will have differences, friend will fight;
But in the end, everything will be fine and just right.

MashaAllah, I shall share something about the Concept of Friendship in Islam which I have just got to know it..may it benefit others as well…

*************************************************************************************

In an authentic Hadith, the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) said: "A person is likely to follow the faith of his friend, so look whom you befriend." [Abu Dawood and at-Tirmidhee]

In another Hadith, Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) said: "The example of a good companion and a bad companion is like that of the seller of musk, and the one who blows the blacksmith's bellows. So as for the seller of musk then either he will grant you some, or you buy some from him, or at least you enjoy a pleasant smell from him. As for the one who blows the blacksmith's bellows then either he will burn your clothes or you will get an offensive smell from him." [al-Bukhary and Muslim]

In his commentary of this Hadith, Imam an-Nawawy said that the Prophet (s.a.w.) compared a good companion to a seller of musk and spoke of the virtue of having companions who are good, who have noble manners, piety, knowledge and good culture . Such are those who grant us from their virtue. And he ( s.a.w.) forbade us to sit with those who do evil, commit a lot of sins and other bad deeds, as well as with innovators, backbiters, and so forth. Another scholar said: "keeping good company with the pious results in attainment of beneficial knowledge, noble manners and righteous actions, whereas keeping company with the wicked prevents all of that." Many times a Muslim is encouraged by his friends to do evil and to forget his duties. The result is that Muslims themselves are often ashamed to leave them to perform prayer, their friends thus causing them to clearly deviate from the Right Path.

Last but not least, I just want to reiterate this authentic hadeeth from our beloved Prophet Muhammad S.A.W.;

Narrated Anas r.a.: The Prophet S.A.W. said, “Whoever possesses the following three qualities will have the sweetness (delight) of Faith: the one whom Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad S.A.W.) become dearer than anything else; who loves a person and he loves him only for Allah’s sake; who hates to revert to atheism (disbelief) as he hates to be thrown into the fire.”
[Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol. 1 Hadeeth no. 15]

A day with Anatomy...

Assalamualaikum wbt to all…alhamdulillah, I have been so silent for a short time as I am drowning with my preparation for the final exams..but anyway, May Allah grant you with His bless and mercy, Ameen!

First and foremost, I do apologize for my friends out there who are not doing Medicine or any equivalent course…because this entry will be all relevant to only students from medical faculty..Asifi jiddan, I’m not an Art stream student, anyway...and I have no knowledge regarding it =)

MashaAllah, yesterday’s paper was a bit alright even though I hardly prepared for it..The paper was coded as BMS2011—Structure of the Human Body (a.k.a. Anatomy). It was set up for 3 hours and I sort of struggling to answer 50MCQs as well as 6 Essays in that cold examination hall, at Caulfield..Subhanallah, what a freezing week! The funny thing was that, I could not really draw the structure of bones and the heart properly as my hand was shaking…but then, inshaAllah, it was over now and I just have to let bygone be bygone and definitely be as submissive as possible to Allah..He always knows the best!!

Frankly speaking, I do regret for not learning to appreciate Anatomy in the first place..hence, I would like to advise my other friends to not repeat the same mistake..Anatomy is something enjoyable because you learn more about yourself..and to all Muslims, particularly, this subject can help us increase our Faith towards the Glory of Allah’s power..Wallahu a’laam..this is just my humble opinion..and it is definitely arguable =)

To make it short, here are some sample essay questions given by Nigel Wreford…most importantly, “expect the unexpected from Nigel.” To all 2nd year Medic students in Monash, I’m sorry if these questions are not really covered in your course or exam (as you guys have only covered the Upper Limb, Lower Limb, Thorax, Head and Neck)...but inshaAllah, going through the essays is somewhat helpful towards understanding the theory (for MCQs)..

InshaAllah, I’ll rank the questions based on what you guys have already covered…hope it helps =)

***BMS 2011 2006***

Upper and Lower Limb

1. Peripheral nerves in the limbs have contributions from multiple spinal nerves. Explain the anatomical basis for how C5, 6, 7, 8 and T1 contribute to the radial nerve.

2. Review the factors involved in venous return from the lower limb.

3. Compare and contrast the quadriceps and hamstring groups of muscles in respect of their function, innervation and blood supply.

4. Review the mechanisms available for stabilizing a fractured bone.

5. Management of a severely arthritic knee can include arthrodesis, administration of antiinflammatory drugs, tibial osteotomy, and joint replacement. Consider the advantages and disadvantages of these options in respect of a physically active thirty year old and a physically inactive seventy year old patient.

6. Discuss the factors that contribute to the formation of venous thrombosis. How can the risk of thrombosis be minimised?

Thorax

7. Define the mediastinum and its subdivisions.

8. Review the structure of the heart. Include in your discussion vessels entering and leaving and communication between chambers.

9. Compare and contrast the mechanisms involved in quiet and deep respiration.

Head and Neck

10. Review the ligamentous factors that contribute to stability of the vertebral column.

11. Review the structural elements of the scalp including a brief discussion of blood supply and innervation.

12. Discuss the formation, circulation and removal of cerebrospinal fluid.

13. Discuss the factors that provide positional stability to the brain within the cranial cavity.

14. Review the relationship of the spinal cord (including the cauda equina) and meninges in relation to the spinal canal.

Other set of questions on Abdomen, Pelvis, Embryology, Anatomical Terminology, Osteology, Surgery and Medical Imaging

15. Review the anatomical position and associated planes. Why is the anatomical position important in descriptive anatomy?

16. Describe the formation of the primary germ layers. Relate the individual germ layers to the primary tissues they form.

17. Describe how long bones grow using the humerus as an example.

18. Describe the major components of a synovial joint and review major factors that contribute to stability.

19. Review the relationship, with examples, between power and range for skeletal muscles of different form.

20. Review the layers found in the wall of a typical hollow viscus. Using an example of your choice expand on each layer.

21. Review the structural components involved in a somatic reflex arc. Illustrate your answer with reference to a diagram showing the formation of a typical spinal nerve.

22. Compare and contrast the major feature of sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems.

23. Review the structure of the arterial wall and how it is adapted to varying function in the progression from aorta to capillary.

24. (a) Explain with examples what is meant by true and potential anastomoses.
(b) Some tissue lack anastomoses, describe two examples of tissues which are vulnerable as a consequence of this deficiency.

25. The abdomen is commonly divided into regions for descriptive purposes.Describe the manner in which the abdomen may be divided into nine regions (diagram) and list one structure lying in each of those regions.

26. What is meant by the term “retroperitoneal”? Briefly describe the structure of the posterior abdominal wall including its musculoskeletal and neurovascular components as well as the organs that lie in the retroperitoneal space.

27. Review the anatomical features of the male reproductive organs that modify or contribute to the ejaculate.

28. Review the structure of the bladder and how micturition is normally regulated. Briefly consider the consequences of section of the spinal cord in the lumbar region on urinary continence.

29. A surgeon decides to make a paramedian incision from a level just below that of the xiphisternum to a level just above that of the pubic symphysis. Review the structures the surgeon will have to deal with in the passage from skin to abdominal cavity. Do the structures vary in different parts of the incision?

30. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of ultrasound, CT and MRI in imaging the human body. Illustrate your answer with examples.

That’s pretty much about it.I have some sample answers for some of the questions..inshaAllah, may Allah ease your tasks then! Ameen…

Suatu hari...bila Si Ayah berbicara...

Benakku tersentuh tatkala ayah mengucup dahiku
Kata ayah, kini aku sudah dewasa
Perlu matang mengemudi hari esok.

Mengapa perlu ayah mengeluarkan kata-kata itu?
Tidak lagikah ayah sayang padaku?
Adakah hari esok menandakan bermulanya kehidupanku bersendiri?
Termangu diri dibuatnya...

Hatiku berat menerima pemberian ayah
Kemas dan rapi tiap sudut ditudungkan
Ayah, inikah pemberian terakhir darimu buatku, puterimu?
Hatiku berkelana mencari segala yang tersirat.

Akhirnya terungkai;
Senaskah al-quran pemberian ayah...
Puteri, hati kita dikawal oleh Allah
Puteri perlu banyakkan zikir pada Allah
Kelak seandainya ayah tiada lagi
Pasti, pasti Allah akan menjaga puteri.

Islam, indahnya ajaran dan didikanmu
Mengenalimu menyayangimu cukup membahagiakanku

Memudahkan ayah, menyenangkan ayah pergi jauh dariku
Kerana menurut ayah,
Mengenali Islam, menyayangi Islam menjanjikan kebahagiaan yang abadi.
Mengenali Allah, menyayangi Allah menjanjikan kebahagiaan yang hakiki...

Final Exam!!!

Be Sincere In Your Exams, Aal Talib Tells Students

SHEIKH Saleh Aal Talib, Imam and Khateeb of the Holy Mosque in Makkah urged Muslims to be God-conscious.

In his Friday sermon at the Grand Mosque in Makkah, Aal Talib dealt with the preparation for the upcoming examinations for all stages of education.

He said these days, parents, brothers and sisters, and male and female teachers and students and all the officials in the education sectors from primary school to university in the Kingdom and other countries are preoccupied with these preparations for the examinations. As this matter preoccupies millions of people, it is an issue that deserves to dwell on and advise Muslims.

The first thing to be observed regarding examinations is to be sincere to Allah and have a good intention for studying, that is, to win Allah's reward and to perform an act of worship by seeking knowledge. The student must pray to Allah to assist him and grant him success. Sheikh Aal Talib said that Allah rewards the Muslim if he studies worldly subjects with the intention of benefiting the Muslim community with his knowledge. Also, seeking knowledge with the intention of earning one's bread in a permissible (halal) way is allowed. The reward is greater if the student is studying subjects dealing with the Shariah. However, his intention must not be to achieve worldly gains.Sheikh Aal Talib said with the examinations drawing near, parents become serious and stop the means of recreation and play. Not only this, but the parents and their children supplicate to Allah to grant them success. The mosques are full of worshippers. He said this is a positive matter calling for happiness and satisfaction. But what is saddening is that this phenomenon is temporary in the midst of crises and the examinations season. Sheikh Aal Talib asked: Why isn't our life always at this level of seriousness and discipline in order to win the rewards in this world and the hereafter? He stressed that some part of this seriousness must continue in our lives and people must always make the best use of time.

Sheikh Aal Talib spoke on the worries and anxiety during this period. The student must not be too frightened and anxious about examinations and parents must not exaggerate matters. The student must try his best and he should be optimistic. Parents must encourage their children to be optimistic. Fear of failure can lead to failure in the examinations although it can be an impetus to perform better. The examinations and obtaining certificates are not the last post in this life and in the hereafter. Failure in one stage does not mean the end of the world, he said.

Fear of examinations is natural so long as it is within the reasonable limits and it is common among students. It should be an impetus for outstanding performance and for exerting more efforts with God's help and having trust in Him. He urged students to remember Allah so that they have peace of mind. They should avoid being anxious. They should be optimistic and well organized in their thoughts and information. They should manage their time efficiently.

Sheikh Aal Talib criticized those who study and gain knowledge for the sake of passing the examination only. Once the examination is over, they forget all the knowledge they gained.

He advised students to exert their utmost efforts in seeking knowledge and studying not only when the examination approaches but from the beginning of the academic year. They should work hard and prepare well for the examination. However, they should have enough sleep before the examination and avoid taking stimulants. They can take a lot of juices. Staying up the night before the examination leads to the student entering the examination with an exhausted mind that cannot respond well.

He urged students to supplicate to Allah to grant them success and they should do a lot of "Istighfaar" as it opens the doors and makes difficult matters easy. He urged parents to teach their children to pray and supplicate to Allah at all times. Finally, Sheikh Aal Talib prayed to Allah to grant success to the male and female students in their examinations and make them useful members of their families and the society at large.

Fear Allah

*******************

Meanwhile, Sheikh Abdul Mohsin Al-Qasim, Imam and Khateeb of the Prophet's Mosque in Madina, exhorted his audience on being God-conscious and God-fearing.

In his Friday sermon at the Prophet's Mosque in Madina, Sheikh Al-Qasim said whoever fears Allah is granted insight into the verses of the Holy Quran and their teachings.

He said being God-fearing places the Muslim in a lofty position and he will have well-established bases that do not change with the whims and ambitions. He will follow the right path.

Sheikh Al-Qasim said some people have been bereft of this lofty position and hence have been deprived of the contentment resulting from worship.

Al-Qasim warned against committing sins. He said the small sins accumulate and lead to utter destruction. He warned against underestimating the small sins. A Muslim must be God-conscious and God-fearing in private and public life.

Notes:

@ It seems like everyone is having their final exam soon..and the same goes to me..Subhanallah, I have got this nice piece of information from a brother in Islam..hopefully, this will benefit you guys as well..inshaAllah.

@ There are undeniably lots of useful advices in this Friday sermon, delivered by the Khateeb..please, my dear friends out there...try your best to follow those advices (kind of reminding myself, anyway)..inshaAllah, truly, those are sort of remembrances for each of us because we tend to neglect this matter when it comes to "Exam period"..may Allah ease our tasks then..Ameen!!

@ InshaAllah, my final exam will start as early as 2nd June..huhu~~~ this time I'll have one extra paper as they split my Anatomy paper into two different papers..well, what can I say...by the way, always keep in our mind that everything happens for a reason..Do pray for everyone...Akhir kalam, all the best to you! Take note!!! (Pembetulan fakta untuk previous article..asifi jiddan)

Assalamualaikum wbt...

Afwan katsiran atas kelemahan diri ana..untuk entry sebelum ini, ada sedikit kekeliruan berkenaan istilah yang ana mention dalam artikel tu..it's about Qadariah and Jabariah..harap antum perhatikan pembetulan ini...Wallahu a'laam..

The true facts about the two groups of people are as follow:

"The Qadarriyah are those people who believe that predestination does not exist, and that we are free to act as we will, and that Allah, the Creator, does not have knowledge of an affair until its occurrence."

"The Jabariyyah are those people who believe that we have no free will, and that we are forced to do everything."

In other words, Allah tiada kena-mengena langsung..no intervention by Allah within humans.

Common tapi....

“Segala amal kita, tindak- tanduk kita digerakkan oleh Allah ...that’s no doubt right? And Allah gives us the qudrat to move and everything which means that if we do something or anything..amal buruk dan amal baik...all those come from ourselves and does it mean that it comes from Allah too? Like what people used to say segala yang baik dan buruk datang dari Allah..then..my question is..jadinya bukan semua perkara yang kita lakukan..comes from usaha kita sendiri..?”

Pertama-tamanya, ana nak ucapkan terima kasih kepada sahabat ana, Tasnim atas soalan yang diutarakan kepada ana..frankly speaking, ana sememangnya pointless at the moment of speaking..tapi alhamdulillah setelah berdiskusi dengan beberapa orang yang ana yakini ketinggian ilmu mereka…at last I have found the answers..Alhamdulillah =)

In brief, we can see that Allah tidak zalimi makhluk Dia dalam kedua-dua kes di atas.

Pernah orang awam berkata sebegini: “jadinya, kenapa Allah perlu hukum seseorang yang dah ditakdirkan kafir sejak azali sehinggalah dia menemui ajalnya?”

Concerning my response, I sort of leave it open..tapi, untuk elakkan daripada kekeliruan tentang konsep sebenar Qadha dan Qadar..ana direkomen untuk refute dengan approach yang berbeza..ana tinggalkan kedua-dua bentuk respond ni buat antum semua..so that you can think of it..and make your own right decision..inshaAllah..

Asifi jiddan ‘ala kulli hal..ana masih lagi baru dalam bab ini..i’m still learning though...tak lekang dari membuat sebarang kesilapan..inshaAllah, together we learn the right things about our Deen, particularly on Tawheed as it is our basis in Islam…moga Allah memudahkan urusan kita semua dan memberi kekuatan dalam meneroka ilmuNya yang Maha Luas…

Akhir kalam, ana sisipkan satu hadis ini..for you to ponder upon..=)

Ku rindui belaian ibu...

"Jangan tinggal solat yer along."

Masa warden cakap macam tu..along tak fikir apa-apa kecuali along assume maybe Tok Wan sakit..so along kenalah pulang menziarah..ok, fine..cuma masa tu..memang banyak betul masalah yang berlaku sebelum along sampai rumah..

"Seorang wanita bermahkota ibu
Menggenggam jari-jari kecil
Ikatan ini tidakkan terurai
Kerna tautan ini
Tautan darah dan akidah
Dan rahmat dari Allah...

Kini ibu,
peganglah tanganku ini
biar kubawa ibu menjelajah hasil titik peluhmu
biar kubawa ke alamku
hasil ukiranmu selama ini...

Dodoianmu ibu
membina benteng pemisah
antara yang hak dan yang bathil
membakar semangat perjuangan
mengait kasih pada junjungan tercinta
tersujud lemah mengabdi diri
kepada Yang Esa..

Kini ibu,
peganglah tanganku ini
biar kubawa ibu menjelajah hasil titik peluhmu
dan biar kubawa ke alamku ini
hasil ukiranmu selama ini..

Jika belum pernah kau dengar ucapan terima kasihku
ketahuilah doaku ini
moga Tuhan menyayangimu
sepertimana kau mengasihiku
dari dulu hingga kini untuk selama-lamanya..

Kini ibu,
peganglah tanganku ini
biar kubawa ibu menjelajah hasil titik peluhmu
biar kubawa ke alamku ini
hasil ukiranmu selama ini.."
